Carbon District 20t rear sprocket
« on: March 16, 2010, 04:37:39 AM »
I have a Distrcit carbon ( love it) and want to change the rear sprocket to a 20t!

I have read past post  so I know this is possible but I am not sure and have not been able to work out if I have to change my belt or the original will be fine.

I am in the Uk not many of these around, and the people I have tried to contact dont really know.

I know I need a chainstay length of 441mm with the 20T 9spline pulley to tension the belt correct. This info has come from Cardondrive.net

I anyone could post thier experience our comments I would really appreciate it.

Great Forum, for a great Bike.

I think the same belt will work with what you are wanting to do.  This site is Gates who makes the belt drive system and sells the cassette you are looking for.  Maybe contact them.  Maybe this is teh same site you have already been to??

I'm in the UK, and I changed mine out to a 20t on a regular ally District.

Based on Crabondrive.net's figures:
The 55x22 with a 118 belt, the centre distance is 425.51mm
The 55x20 with same belt, centre distance is 430.57mm.

I had easily 15mm of adjustment in the dropouts so it was no biggie for me.
