A well oiled, tensioned and aligned chain fixie can be whisper quiet and it’s a beautiful thing to experience. If all these assertions of quiet belt are true, (I don’t doubt that they are), I can’t wait for this technology to be readily available for fixies. To think that cycling could be even MORE relaxing… amazing.

Where are the fender mounts? If you buy a belt drive bike to keep your pant-legs clean and have a true “no-worries” bike, why not throw some full fenders on there. They should come stock on a $1000 bike that fills this niche.

I’ve had a district for a while now. The only problem I had was belt noise. I took two spacers out from behind the back sprocket and it cured the problem. Taking the wheel off and tensioning the belt are easy. Don’t believe what they say about the beltguard (that it is needed for belt alignment) I took all the superfluous stuff off including the beltguard and put on spd’s. Bike is excellent now. Adam asks about fender (mudguard) mounts. I have sen a district with mudguards so it’s possible, but totally ruins the look of the bike.
